Newsroom

Free Care Home is your legal right

If you are on this website, it is because you are wondering what happened to the concept of cradle-to-grave free healthcare. The elderly have complex healthcare needs, with medical and social needs interwoven. If your needs are urgent then the NHS implement a fast track service to locate a carehome bed and all costs are paid by the NHS, the local council or a combination of both. 90% of fast track applications are accepted. For non urgent cases the standard NHS Continuing healthcare funding is applied, only 35% of applications are successful. We will support you through the process and give you a better chance of success.

Four hundred homes are sold EVERY WEEK to fund elderly social care as UK's dementia crisis deepens.
Some 21,120 pensioners sold their home last year to pay for their own social care.
Pensioners with £23,250 in savings, including property value, denied state help.
The Daily Mail is campaigning for urgent action - particularly for dementia care.

Decisions based upon your ability pay and not your medical needs.

Integrated Care Boards in England and Health Boards in Wales can often make arbitrary NHS care funding decisions based on the ability to pay rather than health needs. As a result, you may not receive NHS care funding, even if you are eligible.

The Government delays the implementation of the increases NHS Funding limit.

A cap of £86,000 on the amount anyone in England spends on their care over their lifetime was due to come into effect from October 2023. However, last November, Chancellor Jeremy Hunt announced a two-year delay to the proposed reform of adult social care charging – including the cap. The result is that there will be no change now until at least 2025.
